The companies’ solutions are powering Taiwan’s first ever HD-IPTV service for local operator Max Media.

Paris/Hong Kong, 26th November 2009

Anevia, a leader in video streaming solutions and service infrastructure for live TV and Video on Demand (VOD), and BNS, Asia’s leading IPTV technology and content solutions provider, have combined their expertise to provide Asian hospitality, broadcast and telecom service providers with high performance TV and video solutions.

Anevia’s video solutions and service infrastructure already deliver interactive Live TV and VoD services to millions of users around the world. The company’s portfolio covers live ingestion with DVB to IP gateways and VoD servers that include features such as Start Over, Catch-up TV, Pause TV and network personal video recorder. BNS’ IPTV-based content and technology solutions enable broadband service providers and enterprises to maximize their potential through IP-based solutions such as Telco TV, Internet TV, Hotel and MDU IPTV, Mobile TV and Enterprise A/V. The company has extensive experience in all facets of design, implementation and management of broadband networks in Asia and is the pre-eminent specialist on content across all platforms in the region.

The Anevia-BNS partnership has already generated interest among IPTV service providers, leading to deployments in Singapore, Macau, the Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan, where the companies’ solutions are powering Taiwan’s first ever HD-IPTV service for local operator Max Media. The first phase roll out to 1,500 homes was completed in early November. “This partnership is an important step for BNS as Anevia’s product range enables us to offer more innovative applications to our customers,” said Anke Gill, Vice President of Marketing at BNS. “Our solution portfolios complement each other perfectly and will make our combined offering more flexible in terms of service creation which is an important differentiator in competitive markets.”

“Anevia and BNS are well-established leaders in IPTV technologies,” stated Patrick Rabu, VP of Sales at Anevia. “The partnership enables both companies to enrich our portfolios with a wider range of technologies and to extend our geographic reach, bringing many benefits to customers.”
