For its second exhibit at IBC, Anevia had at its stand a meeting point for its customers, prospects and partners (our partners include set-top box vendors, encoders, Content Protection and middleware vendors). Anevia also showed its latest video server products.
Anevia showed at IBC 2005:
- IP TV Gateways
Anevia is one of the only vendor to design carrier-grade equipment that input modulated signal (satellite, cable, TNT) and stream video packets directly to IP. This equipment "Flamingo" considerably reduces costs of IP head-ends and complies with the "full-IP" telco philosophy.
- Network Time-Shifting
The "Toucan" range is hybrid Video-on-Demand and Network-PVR (Personal Video Recorder) server. Anevia has displayed at IBC network time-shifting: the viewer watches a live broacast, he pushes the "Pause" button: the Toucan servers are signaled to start recording. Thus, when the user presses "Play", the live broadcast is played within several minutes or seconds of delay. With the fast forward and fast rewind, the user can play back the last several hours or go directly back to the live broadcast.
